Mike Annunziata is the Founder and Solo GP of Also Capital, an early-stage fund investing catalytic capital in hard tech founders.

Mike’s background is varied as he’s seen all sides of the table. He co-founded Farther Farms, a Series B hard tech startup. He was a Senior Investment Analyst at Cornell University Investment Office. He started at First Round Capital’s Dorm Room Fund. He holds a board seat at Varda Space.

Our conversation gets into how Mike built Also Capital with a focus on exceptional early talent. His thesis: “Exceptional early talent is the greatest leading indicator of a company’s potential.”

Mike’s advice on fundraising: “Pitch the firm, not the fund. A fund is just a vehicle, your long-term vision is the firm.” This shifts the narrative from immediate returns to lasting impact.
